Description

Nkwen is a one-of-a-kind handmade cloth doll from The Lum Collection. She wears a long dress in bold diagonal zigzag stripes of teal, red, black, and white, with a red bodice panel, a pink-and-white lace band at her waist, and pink lace cuffs. Her hair: long black yarn braids densely beaded along their full length with rainbow pony beads — the most heavily beaded hair in the collection — with a thin red braided headband across her crown and star-shaped beads at the front. She wears crochet sandals with black soles edged in bright pink and multicolor uppers. Every doll is sewn, stuffed, and finished by hand in Texas — no two are exactly alike, and when Nkwen sells, she is gone.
