Description
Awa is a one-of-a-kind handmade cloth doll from The Lum Collection. She wears a teal dress with a large orange leaf print — the same fabric as her leaf-sister Njong — set apart by a navy-over-white striped waistband, with an orange-and-cream floral lace band above the hem and matching lace cuffs. Her hair: black yarn twists worn down and loose, beaded side braids with rainbow beads, and a small red bow at the top of her crown. She wears crochet sandals with neon yellow-green, orange, and dark-purple straps and thick cream soles. Every doll is sewn, stuffed, and finished by hand in Texas — no two are exactly alike, and when Awa sells, she is gone.
